HOW WERE ANIMALS ON NOAH'S ARK FED?

1. How were animals on Noah's Ark fed?

a) Those who doubt the veracity of the Bible say that eight people (Noah and his family) could NEVER have done all the work needed to care for and maintain animals on Noah's Ark. The TRUTH is most animals would need little if any care on the ship. The ark used self-cleaning, self-feeding and self-watering technologies.

b) The above picture shows a 1/12th scale model of the type of feeding system that could be placed within Noah's Ark. Note the following regarding the system above.

i) It uses a floor made of mesh which is slanted downward to allow animal waste to simply flow toward a gutter. Once manure is in this area it can either be allowed to dry or made into compost or be removed to outside the ship through a trough which is slanted that leads to the outside. Humans would not have to directly handle animal waste.

ii) Animals can be fed through food loaded into chutes located on either side of the cage. This would effectively enable animals to fed themselves. Enough food could be placed inside the chutes to last the duration of the flood until dry land again appeared on the earth.

iii) Water could be brought to the animals via pipes that fed into troughs or bowls. Water itself could be collected through a water collection system or could have been pre-loaded on the ark. Pipes were commonly made in this period of clay, bamboo or other materials.

c) An eight person crew on Noah's Ark could have fairly easily cared for the less than 40,000 animals it held. Data from animal husbandry studies have shown that they would even have had time to keep the Bible Sabbath.

The End ...
