ONE HUNDRED FIFTY (150) IN THE BIBLE

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Number ONE HUNDRED FIFTY in the Bible

a) And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days. (Genesis 7:24)

b) God had a workable plan to purge the earth of sin. He chose Noah, an upright and just man to build an ark one and a half football fields in length and 800 railroad cars wide to escape the flood. It rained forty days and forty nights, and the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.

c) During that time, the ark was on top of the mountain of Ararat 17,000 feet high, and the flood was fifteen cubits higher than the mountains. There have been many local floods since then, but not a flood that prevailed for one hundred and fifty days.

d) Noah's ark was a picture of Christ. The waters depicted God's judgment upon the earth. Like Noah and his family, we are in the ark of safety if we have confessed Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Those who are outside are doomed (1 Peter 3:21).

e) Like Noah, let's make sure that we and those in our family are in the ark of safety.

The End ...
