PRAYING GOD'S WILL | FORGIVENESS (3)

1. Praying God's Will

a) What should you pray for? Scripture is clear that you should pray God's word. At the same time, you must never forget that God is sovereign and that He is not obligated to a name-it-and-claim-it theology. God will always do what is best. But at the same time you will do well to understand that when you pray God's word, you are actually praying both the mind and the perfect will of God for yourself.

b) If you follow a systematic plan of praying God's will, you will see dynamic growth take place in your life. You will become the man God intended you to be.

2. Forgiveness

Lord God, for reasons known to You, I need Your forgiveness. Because I sense that and know that I have need  of Your forgiveness I come to You today, praying Your very words back to You in order that I might be forgiven. Bless now the very words from Your mouth on me. Thank You now in Jesus' name. Amen.

3. God's Word

a) 1 John 1:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

b) 1 John 2:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

c) Ephesians 1:7-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself.
