FEAR GOD (16)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. Fear God
(Psalms 2:11)
Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
(Psalms 5:7)
But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
2. Other Scriptures
(Philippians 2:9-13)
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, {10} that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, {11} and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. {12} Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; {13} for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
(Hebrews 12:9-11)
Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? {10} For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. {11} Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
