GOD IS LOVE
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. God is Love
a) There is little doubt that one of the greatest attributes of God is that He is love. The book of 1 John is repleted with God being described as love, just as the Gospel of John is.
b) In 1 John 4:8 it says, “He who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
c) In 1 John 4:18 it clarifies this by saying, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
d) Of course we know John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whomever should believe on Him would not perish but have everlasting life.”
e) Other chapters that reflect God’s love are found in Psalms 103, Ephesians 2, Galatians 2, Zephaniah 3, Psalms 86, and 1 John 3 and 4. These are but a few chapters that speak of God’s love so we can easily establish the fact that God is love.
