THE MIND'S EYE
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. The Mind’s Eye
a) Matthew chapter 7 is rich in images or "word pictures".
i) The merchant measuring out the buyer’s purchase at the market place (Matthew 7:1-2).
ii) Having a log in your eye while trying to remove a speck from someone else’s eye (Matthew 7:3-5).
iii) Feeding dogs and pigs and being attacked by them (Matthew 7:6)
iv) Knocking on a door and waiting for it to be opened with a welcome (Matthew 7:7-8).
v) A son asking his dad for food and being given good things (Matthew 7:9-12).
vi) Two gates and two roads, one broad, the other narrow (Matthew 7:13-14).
vii) Wolves disguising themselves in sheep skins (Matthew 7:15).
viii) Fruit trees producing fruit. The bad trees being cut down and burned because they produce bad fruit (Matthew 7:16-20).
ix) People on Judgment day pleading and clamoring for acceptance with the Lord (Matthew 7:21-23).
x) Two men, one wise and one foolish, who built homes whose foundations were tested by storm and flood. (Matthew 7:24-27).
The End ...
