a) Proverbs 26:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that where there is no wood, the fire goes out. And where there is no gossiper, the strife ceases.

Lord God, keep me from gossiping, and from being around those who gossip, so I might also be kept from strife.

b) Proverbs 26:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a quarrelsome man kindles strife.

Lord God, keep me from from being quarrelsome, and from being around those who are quarrelsome, so I might be kept from strife.
