THE STATEMENT OF FAITH
"Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints." — Jude 3
Introduction
Doctrine is the foundation upon which every Christian ministry stands. Throughout the history of the Church, seasons of spiritual vitality have always been accompanied by a steadfast commitment to the truth of God's Word. Conversely, periods of decline have often begun when biblical doctrine was neglected, compromised, or replaced by human philosophies.
Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC) affirms that sound doctrine is essential to faithful Christian ministry. Theology is not merely an academic discipline reserved for scholars or theological institutions. It is the systematic understanding of God's self-revelation in Scripture and is indispensable for worship, discipleship, preaching, pastoral ministry, Christian education, and ethical living.
Our Statement of Faith expresses the biblical convictions that unite our ministry. It serves as the doctrinal foundation for our leadership, educational programmes, publications, ministry partnerships, and organisational governance. Every leader, educator, ministry worker, and representative of SDC is expected to uphold these foundational truths with integrity and humility.
While recognising that sincere Christians may differ on certain secondary theological matters, we affirm the historic doctrines of the Christian faith that have been confessed by the universal Church throughout the centuries. These doctrines define our theological identity and safeguard the biblical integrity of our ministry.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments constitute the written Word of God. The Scriptures are divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, completely trustworthy, and the final authority for Christian faith, doctrine, and practice.
Because God is truthful and incapable of error, His Word is wholly reliable in all that it affirms. The Bible reveals God's character, His redemptive plan, His moral standards, and His will for humanity. It is sufficient to lead people to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and to equip believers for every good work.
The Scriptures must therefore occupy the highest place in the life of the Church. Every doctrine, ministry practice, ethical decision, and organisational policy must be examined in the light of God's Word. Human traditions, cultural trends, personal opinions, and religious experiences must always remain subject to the authority of Scripture.
We are committed to careful interpretation of the Bible, recognising its historical context, literary forms, and theological unity while affirming that its central message is the revelation of God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The One True God
We believe in one living and true God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three Persons are distinct yet equal in essence, glory, power, and majesty. They are not three gods but one God.
God is eternal, self-existent, sovereign, holy, righteous, loving, merciful, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and unchanging. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, governing history according to His perfect wisdom and sovereign will.
The Father lovingly purposes redemption, the Son accomplishes redemption through His incarnation, death, and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit applies redemption to believers through regeneration and sanctification. Though each Person performs distinct works, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are perfectly united in nature, purpose, and glory.
Our worship is directed to the Triune God alone. He alone is worthy of all honour, praise, obedience, and devotion.

The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father.
Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, the only Mediator between God and humanity, and the perfect revelation of the Father's character. Through His substitutionary death on the cross, He bore the penalty of sin and secured redemption for all who believe in Him.
On the third day He rose bodily from the dead, demonstrating His victory over sin, death, and Satan. He ascended into heaven, where He now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest, Advocate, and Lord. He continually intercedes for His people and will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to consummate His Kingdom.
The person and work of Jesus Christ stand at the centre of our faith. Every ministry of SDC is committed to proclaiming Christ as Saviour, Lord, and King.

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, fully divine and eternally equal with the Father and the Son.
The Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates those who place their faith in Jesus Christ, indwells every believer, seals them for the day of redemption, and progressively sanctifies them into the likeness of Christ.
The Holy Spirit empowers believers for holy living, grants spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church, illuminates the Scriptures, strengthens prayer, produces spiritual fruit, and equips Christians for faithful witness.
We affirm the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church. At the same time, we maintain that every spiritual experience, manifestation, and ministry practice must be tested by Scripture. The Spirit of truth always glorifies Christ and never contradicts the written Word He inspired.
Accordingly, SDC seeks to cultivate ministries that are both spiritually vibrant and biblically discerning, avoiding both doctrinal formalism devoid of spiritual vitality and emotional enthusiasm detached from biblical truth.

Creation
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth by His sovereign word. All creation exists because of His will and continues to be sustained by His power.
Human beings are uniquely created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity, value, and responsibility. Men and women are equal in worth before God while possessing complementary roles according to His divine design.
Creation reveals the wisdom, power, and glory of God. Humanity has been entrusted with responsible stewardship of God's creation and is accountable to Him for its care and use.
Because every human being bears the image of God, SDC is committed to treating all people with dignity, compassion, justice, and respect regardless of ethnicity, nationality, language, or social standing.

Humanity and Sin
We believe that humanity was created upright and in fellowship with God. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world, bringing spiritual death, separation from God, and the corruption of human nature.
As a consequence of the Fall, every person is born with a sinful nature and is incapable of achieving righteousness through personal effort. Sin affects every dimension of human life and results in alienation from God.
Although fallen, every person continues to bear the image of God and therefore retains immeasurable worth. This truth compels Christians to proclaim the Gospel with compassion while recognising humanity's desperate need for redemption.
The universal problem of sin finds its only remedy in the saving work of Jesus Christ.

Salvation
We believe that salvation is entirely the work of God's grace. It is offered freely to all through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is received by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
Salvation includes regeneration, justification, adoption, sanctification, and the future glorification of believers. Those who trust in Christ are forgiven of their sins, reconciled to God, declared righteous through the righteousness of Christ, and adopted into the family of God.
Saving faith results in a transformed life characterised by repentance, obedience, love, and perseverance. Good works do not earn salvation but demonstrate the reality of genuine faith.
Because salvation is God's gracious gift, all glory belongs to Him alone.

Concluding Affirmation
These foundational doctrines form the theological heart of Sunshine Destiny Communications. They provide the doctrinal stability upon which our philosophy, vision, mission, educational programmes, publications, leadership development, and ministry partnerships are established.
We affirm these truths not merely as theological propositions but as living realities that shape our worship, our witness, our conduct, and our service. As we continue to proclaim the Gospel, equip believers, and strengthen the Church, we do so with confidence that the faith once delivered to the saints remains sufficient for every generation.
We therefore commit ourselves to preserve, proclaim, teach, defend, and faithfully apply these biblical truths until our Lord Jesus Christ returns in glory.
