LIFE IS UNCERTAINTY: BELIEVERS SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Life Is Uncertainty

a) Isaiah that are quoted in the New Testament leads us to think about the uncertainty of this life compared to the certainty of what lies beyond.

2. Believers Shall Not Be Disappointed

Isaiah 28:16
16 Therefore thus says the Lord God,
“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,
A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.
He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

a) We are assured by Isaiah that those who believe in Christ as the well-laid cornerstone of their lives, will "not be in haste" (Isaiah 28:16). Paul translates this verse to say that those who believe "will not be disappointed" (Romans 9:33, 10:11). Those who have not believed, when they see Jesus coming, will try to run away in terror. However those who believe will see him with joy and be transfixed. They will not want to run away. He is their everything, he is their all. He will bring all his promises to pass, and they will not be disappointed in a single thing nor find anything lacking. They will want to stay with him, and be blessed by him, for ever more. And so they shall.

The End ...
