DEFEND THE LIGHT

1. Our Loyalty

a) Jesus said, "Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light... the truth" (John 3:19-21). We cannot be like that. We must love the light rather than the darkness, and love requires loyalty and commitment else it is not love.

2. Defend The Light

Ephesians 6:12-13
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; 5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; 6 so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.

Romans 13:12
12 The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
