ADMONISHMENTS ABOUT JUDGMENT (1)

1. Judgment

a) We noted that there are 400 Bible verses for any form of the words that make up judgment. Nearly 1,000 hits were received for love, mercy and grace together. So we can say that although our God is full of love, mercy and grace, He is also a righteous Creator and therefore must sometimes execute judgment.

2. Admonishments About Judgment

Matthew 7:2-4 
For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?

Romans 14:1-4 
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
