HOW TO LIVE WITHIN MARRIAGE? (2)

2. How To Live Within A Marriage
a) There are so many Scripture passages that talk about not only husbands but both husbands and wives. There are many different elements and teachings about being a husband according to Scripture that men should be able to know and understand what God expects of us (men that are husbands).
b) There are thoughts from both the old and new testaments that show men that we need to be the head of our households.
c) We are clearly instructed to love our wives and given the example of that way that Jesus loves His bride (the church).
1 Peter 3:7
“Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-11
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?

Song of Solomon 7:7-12
Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters. I say I will climb the palm tree and lay hold of its fruit. Oh may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the scent of your breath like apples, and your mouth like the best wine. It goes down smoothly for my beloved, gliding over lips and teeth. I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me. Come, my beloved, let us go out into the fields and lodge in the villages; let us go out early to the vineyards and see whether the vines have budded, whether the grape blossoms have opened and the pomegranates are in bloom.
There I will give you my love.
