PRAYER (5)

1. Bible Topi

a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. Prayer

a) What if I don’t know how or what to pray about? The Spirit will lead you. It’s in the Bible, Romans 8:26-27, NKJV. “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

b) When our prayers are God’s will, we can have confidence He has answered. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 5:14-15, NKJV. “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

c) Can I pray and wait for God to handle everything? Prayer and faith do not replace what you can do of your own efforts. It's in the Bible, James 2:18, NKJV. "But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works"

d) What does praying look like? It’s in the Bible, Matthew 6:9-11, NKJV. “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

e) Don’t forget to give thanks to God. It’s in the Bible, Colossians 4:2, NKJV. “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving”

f) God gave up the best there was in Jesus, He will not withhold anything good from us. It’s in the Bible,  Romans 8:32, NKJV. “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
