Fourth, we fail to renew our minds. We do not spend time in the Word. We do not meditate on Scripture. We do not pray. We do not seek God's wisdom. We do not allow the Holy Spirit to transform our thinking. So our minds remain conformed to the world. We think like the world. We act like the world. We live like the world. But we are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Fifth, we compromise to fit in. We water down the truth to avoid offending people. We soften the gospel to make it more palatable. We stay silent when we should speak. We go along with the crowd when we should stand alone. We compromise our convictions to fit in. But compromise is a slippery slope. It leads to further compromise. It leads to moral decay. It leads to spiritual destruction.

Sixth, we believe that the majority is always right. We assume that if most people believe something, it must be true. We assume that if most people do something, it must be right. We assume that if most people approve of something, it must be good. But this is a fallacy. The majority is often wrong. The majority is not the standard of truth.
