UNSUNG HEROES IN ACTS (10)

0. Introduction
a) When we think of the success of the early church, we often think of the work of the apostles. But the church could have died if it hadn't been for the unsung heroes, the men and women who through some small but committed act moved the church forward.
1. Hero
a) Julius.
2. Scripture text reference
a) Acts 27:1, 43
i) And when it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they delivered Paul and some other prisoners to one named Julius, a centurion of the Augustan Regiment. (Acts 27:1 NKJV)
ii) 43 But the centurion, wanting to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should jump overboard first and get to land. (Acts 27:43 NKJV)
3. Heroic action
a) He spared Paul when the other soldiers wanted to kill him.
