JESUS & THE FATHER ONE GOD? (7)

0. Introduction
a) How exactly are Jesus and the Father ONE? Was Jesus CREATED or has he eternally existed with the Father? Is our Savior the GOD of the Old Testament who created man and dealt with Noah, Abraham, Moses, the nation of Israel and all the prophets? How is the Father GREATER than our Lord?
1. First and Last
a) The book of Revelation contains several texts that assert Christ's Deity.
i) "'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending,' says the Lord,'" (Revelation 1:8, NKJV).
b) Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Grecian alphabet. Revelation 22 tells us that Jesus spoke these words.
i) "And behold, I am coming quickly; and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. " (See also Revelation 1:17-18; 2:8)
c) The apostle Paul also affirms Jesus' Deity when he states in Colossians 2.
i) "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;" (v. 9)
d) Since Jesus possesses "all the fullness" of the Godhead he is there of a divine nature. Paul tells us Jesus was 'the rock' or divine Being who led the ancient Israelites.
i) "And they all drank of the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them. And that Rock was Christ" (1 Corinthians 10:4)
e) Similarly, Paul in Romans 14 calls Christ the Lord then applies an Old Testament text about "the Lord" (the Eternal) to Him, and finishes stating we shall all be judged by him (Romans 14:9-12).
2. In conclusion
a) There exists still more Biblical evidence that Jesus is God. Although those who believe in the Trinity and their case that Jesus is part of the Godhead is Biblically sound.
