TOLERANCE: BIBLE VERSES (2)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Tolerance

a) Tolerance is a hot topic in religious circles these days.  The world that we live in often seems to cry for tolerance. The Bible shows that we need to show the love and unity to a lost and hurting world.

b) It is important to study the Scripture and seek diligently for what it says, however we all need to be humble when we approach the words of God.

2. Bible Verses

Romans 14:1-4
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.  Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Acts 10:28
And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but  God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.”

Proverbs 16:24
Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and  health to the body.

1 Corinthians 6:1-4
When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life! So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church?

The End ...
