What Does It Mean?

From Deuteronomy 10:17, we learn that God is:

God of gods and Lord of lords: He holds supreme authority over every other power—whether earthly rulers, spiritual forces, or false gods. There is no one above Him.

The great God, mighty and awesome: His power is unmatched, and He inspires reverent fear and wonder.

Impartial and incorruptible: He shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. You cannot buy His favor with wealth, status, or religious performance. He judges fairly and loves justly.

From 1 John 1:5, we see that God is light:

God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all: This means God is absolutely holy, pure, and true. There is no moral impurity, no deception, no shadow of evil in Him. He is completely transparent and perfectly righteous. Everything He does is good, and everything He says is true.

From 1 John 4:7-9 and 16, we see that God is love:

The dwelling of God is with men: God's ultimate goal is not to remain distant but to dwell with His people forever. This is the fulfillment of all His promises.
