TRUST THE PROCESS

There are seasons when you know where you want to go, but you do not understand why God is taking you through the route He has chosen.

You prayed for the destination, but God started working on the journey.

You asked for the promise, but God began preparing you for it.

You wanted the breakthrough, but God began developing your character.

This is where trust becomes essential.

God does not only care about where you are going. He cares about who you become along the way.

We often want God to make things happen quickly. We want immediate answers, immediate change, immediate restoration, immediate provision, and immediate breakthrough. But God is not merely interested in giving us an outcome. He is also interested in preparing us to handle that outcome properly.

The process may seem slow, uncomfortable, or even unnecessary, but God can use every stage.

Joseph had a dream, but he had to go through a pit, slavery, false accusation, and prison before he reached the palace.

David was anointed king, but he still had to spend years running from Saul.

Israel was promised a land, but the journey through the wilderness became part of their preparation.

The process was not a detour from God's plan.

The process was part of God's plan.

KEY SCRIPTURE

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” — James 1:4

God can use the process to produce things that cannot be developed instantly.

Patience takes time.

Endurance takes pressure.

Wisdom comes through experience.

Maturity develops through testing.

Character is revealed and strengthened through circumstances.

Sometimes we pray for God to remove the process when the process is precisely where God is doing His deepest work.

TRUST THE PROCESS EVEN WHEN IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE

Not every difficult season means you are outside God's will.

Sometimes difficulty is part of development.

A student cannot become skilled without learning.

An athlete cannot become stronger without training.

A building cannot become structurally sound without foundations.

Likewise, spiritual maturity does not develop without seasons that challenge our faith.

You may not enjoy the process, but you can still trust God in it.

There are lessons you will never learn in comfort that you can learn through adversity.

There are dimensions of faith you may never discover until you reach a place where you have no choice but to depend upon God.

The process teaches you to stop depending on circumstances and start depending on God.

GOD IS PREPARING YOU

Sometimes what you call a delay is actually preparation.

You may be asking, “Why hasn't God opened the door?”

Perhaps God is preparing you to walk through it.

You may be asking, “Why hasn't God increased my influence?”

Perhaps God is developing the character necessary to carry that influence.

You may be asking, “Why hasn't the opportunity arrived?”

Perhaps God is giving you time to become ready for the opportunity.

A premature blessing can become a burden.

A responsibility received before maturity can overwhelm a person.

Therefore, God's timing can be an expression of His wisdom.

God may be more interested in preparing you than pleasing your impatience.

THE TWIST

Here is the twist:

The process you are trying to escape may be the process God is using to prepare you.

You may be asking God to change your circumstances while He is changing your capacity.

You may be asking Him to accelerate the journey while He is strengthening your foundation.

You may be asking for the next chapter while God is teaching you how to finish the present one faithfully.

Don't despise the process simply because it is not the destination.

There is purpose in preparation.

There is purpose in waiting.

There is purpose in learning.

There is purpose in becoming.

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

I can learn that God's process deserves my trust even when I do not understand every stage.

I can learn that progress is not always visible. Sometimes progress is happening internally before it becomes visible externally.

I can learn that God can use difficult seasons to produce something valuable in me.

I can also learn not to compare my process with someone else's.

Someone else's breakthrough may look immediate because I cannot see the years of preparation behind it.

I only see the harvest.

God sees the roots.

Therefore, I should not become discouraged because my journey looks different.

HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?

Stop asking only, “How quickly can I get through this?”

Begin asking, “What is God teaching me through this?”

Instead of wasting the waiting season with frustration, use it for preparation.

Pray.

Study God's Word.

Develop discipline.

Strengthen your character.

Serve faithfully.

Learn.

Grow.

Prepare.

The process becomes much more meaningful when you understand that God can use it to prepare you for something greater.

Do not rush into something simply because you are uncomfortable where you are.

A closed door may be protection.

A delay may be preparation.

A difficult season may be development.

A slow season may be strengthening.

Trust God.

FINAL REFLECTION

You may not understand your process today.

But one day you may look back and realize that God was doing far more than you knew.

The season that frustrated you may have strengthened you.

The rejection that hurt you may have redirected you.

The delay that disappointed you may have protected you.

The waiting that exhausted you may have matured you.

The difficulty that almost broke you may have taught you how to depend upon God.

So don't despise where you are simply because it is not where you want to be.

Trust the process.

God knows what He is doing.

CONCLUSION

You do not have to understand every step to trust the One who orders your steps.

God sees the destination.

God sees the road.

God sees the obstacles.

God sees what you cannot see.

Therefore, keep walking.

Keep learning.

Keep growing.

Keep trusting.

The process may be taking longer than you expected, but God is not wasting it.

WHAT GOD IS DEVELOPING IN YOU MAY BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT YOU ARE WAITING TO RECEIVE FROM HIM.

PRAYER

Father, help me trust Your process.

When I become impatient, give me patience. When I become discouraged, strengthen me. When I do not understand what You are doing, help me trust Your wisdom.

Teach me not to despise the seasons of preparation. Help me recognize that You can use every experience to develop my character, strengthen my faith, and prepare me for Your purposes.

Give me grace to remain faithful while I wait.

I surrender my timetable to You.

I surrender my expectations to You.

I surrender my process to You.
