SDC CHRISTIAN EDUCATION GROUP (SCEG)

SDC CHRISTIAN EDUCATION GROUP (SCEG)

Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC)

An Informational Networking and Connection Group for Christian Educators

GROUP ADMINISTRATORS

Rev. Tanny

Rev. Dr. Carlo Socobos

1. Establishment and Purpose

The SDC Christian Education Group (SCEG) is an informational networking and connection group established within Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC).

It brings together Christians who are involved in education, teaching, instruction, theological training and educational leadership.

The group may comprise Christian teachers, Bible teachers, theological lecturers, Bible school instructors, Christian education facilitators, principals of Christian schools and educational institutions, ministry trainers, course facilitators and other Christians with relevant teaching or educational experience.

The primary purpose is to establish a network of Christian educators whom SDC and its various auxiliaries can connect with when educational information, communication or potential instructional collaboration is required.

SCEG is a networking arrangement, not an organisational appointment structure.

2. Nature and Status of the Group

The SDC Christian Education Group is established strictly for informational, networking and connection purposes.

Inclusion in this group does not constitute an official appointment by SDC.

Membership does not constitute an appointment as an SDC teacher, lecturer or instructor. It does not constitute employment or an official engagement by SDC, nor does it confer appointment as a Principal of any SDC auxiliary.

Likewise, inclusion does not establish an individual as an official representative of SDC, assign teaching or administrative responsibilities, or confer authority to develop, approve, administer or conduct SDC courses.

Membership does not guarantee future teaching opportunities or instructional assignments.

There is no automatic teaching assignment, remuneration, employment relationship or institutional responsibility arising from inclusion in this group.

Being included in the group means being connected, not being appointed.

3. Authority and Responsibilities of SCEG Administrators

The SDC Christian Education Group is administered by:

Rev. Tanny

Rev. Dr. Carlo Socobos

The administrators are responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the networking group.

They have the discretion and privilege to add or remove suitable individuals whenever necessary, according to the purpose and objectives of the group.

Their responsibilities include identifying and adding suitable Christian teachers, lecturers, instructors, facilitators and principals; expanding the networking group when necessary; removing individuals when their inclusion is no longer appropriate; maintaining the relevance and integrity of the group; and facilitating appropriate communication and connections among members.

3.1 Authority to Add and Remove Members

The administrators have the discretion to include additional suitable individuals whenever necessary.

Such individuals may include Christian educators, Bible teachers, theological lecturers, instructors, principals and other persons involved in Christian education.

Similarly, the administrators may remove individuals when their inclusion is no longer appropriate or when circumstances warrant their removal.

This authority is limited to the administration and management of the SCEG networking group.

3.2 Presidential Information and Accountability

Although the administrators have the discretion to manage the group's membership, they are required to inform the President of SDC whenever an individual is added to or removed from the group.

This reporting requirement ensures that the President remains informed of the group's membership composition and administrative developments.

The administrators may exercise their discretion to add or remove members without seeking prior presidential approval for each individual change. However, they must communicate the relevant information to the SDC President in a timely manner.

This arrangement establishes a clear distinction between administrative discretion and organisational accountability.

The administrators manage the group, while the President maintains overall organisational oversight.

The privilege to administer membership does not confer authority to make official SDC appointments.

4. Purpose of Networking and Connection

One of the principal reasons for establishing SCEG is to facilitate networking and connections among Christian educators, particularly in relation to courses and educational programmes conducted by SDC and its auxiliaries.

The group provides an avenue through which individuals with relevant educational experience, theological knowledge, teaching capabilities and instructional backgrounds can be identified and contacted.

It encourages networking among Christian teachers, lecturers, instructors and principals from different churches, ministries, educational institutions and professional backgrounds.

It also facilitates the sharing of relevant information concerning Christian education, theological studies, teaching, training programmes and educational initiatives.

Through this network, SDC and its auxiliaries may identify individuals who possess relevant qualifications, theological knowledge, ministry experience or instructional capabilities.

Another important objective is to provide a convenient channel through which the respective SDC Auxiliary Principals can identify and connect with potential instructors for their educational programmes.

Ultimately, SCEG seeks to encourage relationships, cooperation and collaboration among Christians who share an interest in biblical teaching, theological education, discipleship and ministry training.

5. Networking Does Not Constitute Recruitment

The SDC Christian Education Group provides an avenue for identifying and connecting with potential educators. However, networking must not be confused with recruitment.

For example, an individual may be a qualified Bible teacher, an experienced theological lecturer or a principal of a Christian educational institution.

Their inclusion in the group does not automatically mean that they will be recruited to teach any course conducted by SDC or its auxiliaries.

Likewise, administrators may introduce individuals to an Auxiliary Principal, but such introductions do not constitute a recruitment decision or an instruction to recruit.

The respective Auxiliary Principal remains free to assess the suitability of any prospective instructor.

SCEG facilitates connections; it does not undertake recruitment.

6. Sole Recruitment Authority of Each SDC Auxiliary Principal

Essential Governance Principle

The Principal of each SDC auxiliary that conducts educational courses has the sole prerogative to identify, select, recruit and engage instructors for courses conducted under that respective auxiliary.

This authority belongs exclusively to the relevant Auxiliary Principal in relation to the instructional requirements of that auxiliary. It does not belong to the administrators of SCEG.

For example, the Principal of Sunshine Destiny School of Ministry (SDSM) has the sole prerogative to recruit instructors for courses conducted under SDSM.

The SDSM Principal independently determines whether additional instructors are required, which subjects require instructors, and what qualifications, experience and theological competency are necessary.

The Principal also determines which individuals may be approached or considered, whom to select and engage as instructors, and how instructors are assigned and coordinated within SDSM programmes.

The SDSM Principal may identify potential instructors from the SDC Christian Education Group or from outside the group.

There is no obligation to recruit an individual simply because that person is included in SCEG.

The same principle applies to other SDC auxiliaries conducting educational courses.

7. No Interference with Auxiliary Recruitment Decisions

The administrators of SCEG must not assume or exercise the recruitment authority of individual Auxiliary Principals.

They are not authorised to appoint instructors on behalf of an SDC auxiliary, allocate teaching subjects to group members, promise teaching opportunities to individuals or direct an Auxiliary Principal to recruit a particular person.

They must not represent an individual as an appointed SDC instructor without proper authorisation or make recruitment decisions on behalf of an auxiliary.

They may facilitate introductions and connections when appropriate.

However, the decision to recruit, select and engage an instructor remains entirely with the Principal of the respective auxiliary.

This arrangement ensures that each auxiliary retains responsibility for the quality, suitability and management of its own educational programmes.

8. Relationship Between SCEG and SDC Auxiliaries

The SDC Christian Education Group serves as a common networking platform for the educational interests of SDC and its relevant auxiliaries.

Sunshine Destiny School of Ministry (SDSM)

SDSM may connect with suitable Bible teachers, theological lecturers and ministry instructors for its Certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes.

Sunshine Christian Education (SCE)

SCE may connect with Christian educators and facilitators for its Progressive Christian Development Programme and other educational initiatives.

Other SDC Educational Initiatives

Other SDC auxiliaries or educational projects may also establish connections with relevant individuals according to their respective needs.

Each auxiliary operates within its assigned responsibilities and retains authority over the development, implementation and instructional arrangements of its programmes.

SCEG does not replace the governance, administration or recruitment processes of individual auxiliaries.

9. Participation and Expectations

Individuals included in the SDC Christian Education Group are encouraged to maintain positive relationships and contribute to a constructive Christian educational network.

Participation may involve connecting with other Christian educators, sharing relevant educational information, exchanging teaching and learning resources subject to applicable copyright and usage permissions, sharing information about Christian education programmes, responding to enquiries from relevant SDC auxiliary representatives and exploring possible educational collaboration when appropriate.

Participation is voluntary.

Individuals are not obligated to accept any teaching engagement, nor does SDC undertake to provide teaching opportunities to everyone included in the group.

If an Auxiliary Principal identifies a suitable individual, the Principal may contact that person separately to discuss a possible instructional engagement.

Any subsequent engagement must be separately agreed upon and established through the appropriate auxiliary's processes.

Until such an engagement is established, the individual remains simply a member of the informational networking group.

10. Governance, Authority and Accountability

The SDC Christian Education Group operates within the wider organisational framework of SDC, with clearly distinguished responsibilities.

SCEG Administrators – Rev. Tanny and Rev. Dr. Carlo Socobos

The administrators are responsible for the day-to-day management of the group. They have the discretion to add and remove members when necessary, subject to informing the SDC President of all membership changes.

SDC President

The SDC President maintains overall organisational oversight and must be kept informed of additions and deletions within the group.

SCEG Members

Members participate voluntarily in networking, information sharing and establishing connections with other Christian educators. Their inclusion does not confer any official appointment or organisational authority.

Respective SDC Auxiliary Principal

Each Auxiliary Principal retains the sole prerogative to identify, select, recruit and engage instructors for courses conducted under their respective auxiliary.

This governance arrangement ensures that SCEG operates within SDC without interfering with the responsibilities and authority of individual auxiliaries.

11. Governing Principles

The SDC Christian Education Group shall operate according to the following principles.

Inclusion Is Not Appointment

Being added to the group does not confer any official position within SDC.

Networking Is Not Recruitment

Connecting with educators does not constitute an offer of teaching engagement.

Administrative Discretion Requires Accountability

Administrators may add or remove members at their discretion but must inform the SDC President of all such changes.

Group Administration Is Not Appointment Authority

SCEG administrators may manage membership but cannot appoint instructors for SDC auxiliaries.

Recruitment Belongs to the Auxiliary Principal

Each Auxiliary Principal retains the sole prerogative to recruit and engage instructors for courses conducted under their respective auxiliary.

No Automatic Entitlement

Membership does not create an entitlement to teaching opportunities, remuneration or institutional recognition.

Auxiliary Autonomy Is Respected

Each auxiliary determines its own educational requirements and instructional arrangements.

12. Overall Statement

The SDC Christian Education Group is established to build a network of Christian educators within the wider SDC community.

Its function is limited to information, networking and facilitating connections. It is not a teaching department, employment structure, appointment body or central recruitment authority.

SDC recognises the importance of Christian educators and the contribution they can make towards biblical teaching, theological education and the equipping of believers.

Through this group, SDC seeks to make educational connections more accessible while preserving the authority and responsibilities of its individual auxiliaries.

Rev. Tanny and Rev. Dr. Carlo Socobos are entrusted with administering the networking group, including the discretion to add or remove members, subject to informing the SDC President.

At the same time, the respective Auxiliary Principals retain the sole prerogative to recruit and engage instructors for their own educational programmes.

This clear division of responsibilities promotes good governance, administrative accountability and operational autonomy within the SDC framework.
