BIBLE'S OUTLINES & THEMES (10)

1. Introduction
a) The Bible is full of wonderful stories and special truth. What we want to do is to discover the Bible.
b) Psalm 119:11 says, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
c) Nurture and grow your understanding of the Bible as you read and discover the Bible.
2. Biblical Review: The Church, A Chosen Witness
a) Jesus, fully God, becomes fully Man.
b) He offers Himself as King of Israel; rejected.
c) Offers Himself as King of Kings to all the nations.
d) Began His life by living inside Israel's culture.
e) Chooses 12 Jews to be His disciples.
f) Spends 3 years revealing truth.
g) Describes "the church' to His disciples. Church = Ecclesia (Greek), "Called Out Ones." The Church is the "second" Body of Christ!
h) Jesus' atonement on the cross ("At-one-ment").
i) His resurrection.
j) His ascension.
k) His entrance into His new Body.
l) His continued activity among men through His Body.
m) The spread of His Body and His activity from Jews to all the nations of the earth.
n) The Church is a "grafted limb" into the Tree of Israel, but in no way replaces Israel!
o) The Future: His personal return in His resurrected Body, establishing His Kingdom.
p) He completes His work in His 1,000 year reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
q) The Church reigns with Christ: those who were faithful over much, or little, serve accordingly.
r) Through Jesus, the Jews enter the "Golden Age."
s) The covenant promises of God are fulfilled to His chosen People.
t) The Kingdom of Our Christ Becomes The Kingdom Of Our God.
u) Total renovation of all things.
v) Eternal Kingdom of God: "And He shall reign forever and ever!"
