GRACE (1)

1. Bible Topic
a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.
2. Grace
a) Salvation comes through grace—it is a gift from God. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
b) Everyone can receive the grace of Christ, which develops grace inside the receiver. It's in the Bible, John 1:16, NKJV. "And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
c) God's grace is our only hope! It's in the Bible, Nehemiah 9:31, TLB. "But in your great mercy you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are!"
d) Does grace do away with God's law? It's in the Bible, Romans 3:31, NIV. "Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law."
e) Grace is not a license to sin, but power unto salvation and righteousness. It's in the Bible, Romans 6:15-18, NKJV. "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness."
f) In the grace of Christ, is power and strength. It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, NKJV. "And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
