WE SEE, WE LEARN

A Response to "We See, We Learn"
Following Jesus and His Gifts
No doubt we have to follow Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our ultimate example and our supreme authority. But He has also given gifts to the church. He has appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip His people for the work of ministry. These gifts are not just titles; they are functions. They are not just positions; they are empowerments. They are given to build up the body of Christ and to help us grow into the fullness of Christ.
The Diversity of Gifts
A man may receive such diversities of gifts as the Spirit determines. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts according to His will. He gives to one the gift of wisdom, to another the gift of healing, to another the gift of prophecy, to another the gift of miracles. The anointing of such gifts flows freely from him. The gifts are not limited to the original apostles; they are available to every believer. The Spirit is still giving, still equipping, and still empowering.
The Role of an Understudy
If you desire such a gift from the anointed man, you need to be an understudy and learn from him. This is the pattern we see in the life of Elisha following Elijah. Elisha did not just admire Elijah from a distance; he served him, learned from him, and stayed with him until the end. He was not content with a casual relationship; he pursued a deep commitment. He was not satisfied with a distant admiration; he sought a close connection. His dedication was rewarded when the double portion of Elijah's spirit fell upon him.
The Impartation of Anointing
Such a time like this, you may be able to receive the imparting of his anointing as God sees fit to give it to you at the right moment. Impartation is not a formula; it is a divine transaction. It is not something we can force; it is something we can receive. It happens in God's timing and according to His will. But it also requires our participation. We must be present. We must be open. We must be willing to learn and to serve.
The Simplicity of Receiving
Sometimes we think that to receive such a gift is far-fetched. Really, it is that simple! We see, we learn, we put our faith into action. We do not have to complicate it. We do not have to overthink it. We just need to be like Elisha: watching, serving, and learning. We need to be like the disciples: following, observing, and imitating. When we do, we position ourselves to receive what God has for us. And we will be amazed to see and know that supernatural happens right before our eyes.
The Supernatural in Action
Supernatural happens right before your eyes. It is not just something we read about in the Bible; it is something we can experience today. The same God who anointed Elijah is the same God who anoints His servants today. The same Spirit who empowered Elisha is the same Spirit who empowers believers today. The supernatural is not just for the past; it is for the present. It is available to those who see, learn, and put their faith into action.
Final Reflection
We see, we learn, we receive. This is the pattern. Do not let fear, pride, or doubt keep you from what God has for you. Be like Elisha. Follow the anointed. Serve the gifted. Learn from the mature. And in due time, you will receive what God has prepared for you. The supernatural is waiting. The anointing is available. The gift is within reach. See, learn, and receive.
Prayer for Receiving Gifts
Lord, help me to see, learn, and receive. Help me to be like Elisha—faithful, dedicated, and willing to serve. Open my eyes to see the gifts You have placed in Your church. Open my heart to learn from those You have anointed. I desire to receive what You have for me. Help me to put my faith into action. Let the supernatural happen in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
