THE PHILOSOPHY OF BIBLICAL STEWARDSHIP AND KINGDOM GENEROSITY
"Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." — 1 Corinthians 4:2
Introduction
The biblical doctrine of stewardship lies at the heart of faithful Christian living. From the opening chapters of Genesis to the final pages of Revelation, Scripture reveals that God is the rightful Owner of all creation and that humanity has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing His gifts wisely, faithfully, and for His glory.
Stewardship extends far beyond financial management. It encompasses every aspect of life entrusted to believers by God, including time, abilities, spiritual gifts, knowledge, relationships, opportunities, influence, leadership, education, possessions, finances, and even creation itself. Nothing ultimately belongs to us. Everything belongs to God, and we are called to administer His resources according to His purposes.
This biblical understanding fundamentally transforms the Christian perspective on life and ministry. We no longer ask, "What belongs to me?" Rather, we ask, "How may I faithfully manage what God has entrusted to me?" Such an attitude produces humility, gratitude, generosity, responsibility, and accountability.

Throughout Scripture, God continually opened doors of ministry for His servants.

Not every opportunity is necessarily God's assignment.
Wise stewards prayerfully evaluate opportunities according to biblical priorities, available resources, organisational calling, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Faithful stewardship sometimes requires saying "no" in order to remain faithful to God's specific calling.
Accountability in Stewardship
Every steward remains accountable to God.
