WAIT. GOD IS WORKING.

Waiting can be one of the hardest expressions of faith.

We are comfortable with action. We want to do something. We want to fix something. We want to make something happen.

But there are moments when God says, “Wait.”

Waiting does not mean doing nothing.

Waiting means trusting God while He works in ways you cannot yet see.

There is a difference between inactivity and waiting on God.

Biblical waiting involves expectation, prayer, obedience, patience, and confidence in God's faithfulness.

When God tells you to wait, He is not necessarily telling you that nothing is happening.

He may be telling you that something is happening that you cannot yet see.

KEY SCRIPTURE

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.” — Psalm 27:14

Notice that Scripture does not say merely, “Wait.”

It says, “Be of good courage.”

Why?

Because waiting can test your courage.

Waiting can test your faith.

Waiting can test your patience.

Waiting can make you question whether God heard you.

But the instruction remains:

Wait on the Lord.

GOD WORKS WHILE YOU WAIT

Consider a seed planted in the ground.

For a period of time, nothing appears to be happening.

The ground looks unchanged.

But underneath the surface, roots are developing.

You cannot see them.

You cannot measure them by looking at the soil.

Yet something is happening.

The same can happen spiritually.

You may not see movement, but God may be preparing something underneath the surface.

He may be arranging circumstances.

He may be preparing people.

He may be changing you.

He may be removing obstacles.

He may be protecting you from something.

He may be preparing an opportunity that has not yet arrived.

Do not judge God's work by the silence of the moment.

WAITING REQUIRES TRUST

If God gave you every detail in advance, waiting would be easier.

But God often gives enough light for the next step without revealing the entire journey.

That requires trust.

You may not know when.

You may not know how.

You may not know who.

You may not know where.

But you can know Who is in control.

That is enough.

Faith says:

“I don't know what God is doing, but I know God.”

THE TWIST

Here is the twist:

Your waiting season may actually be an active season in the spiritual realm.

You may think you are waiting for God.

God may be working on things you have not even asked Him about.

You are waiting for an answer.

God may be preparing your capacity.

You are waiting for a door.

God may be preparing the environment behind the door.

You are waiting for change.

God may be preparing you for the change.

You are waiting for the visible.

God may already be working in the invisible.

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

I can learn that waiting is not wasted time.

I can learn that God's timing is worth trusting.

I can learn to remain faithful even when the outcome is uncertain.

I can learn that I do not have to force things that God has not opened.

I can learn that impatience can cause me to move ahead of God's timing.

Sometimes we create problems by trying to manufacture what God has promised to provide.

Therefore, waiting can protect us from premature decisions.

HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?

If God has told you to wait, don't allow frustration to make you disobey.

Use the waiting season wisely.

Prepare.

Pray.

Grow.

Serve.

Learn.

Stay faithful.

And when the opportunity comes, you will be ready.

Do not spend your entire waiting season complaining about what has not happened.

Ask God what you can do with the time you have been given.

The waiting season can become one of the most productive seasons of your life.

FINAL REFLECTION

Perhaps you are looking at your life and saying, “Nothing is happening.”

Look again.

God may be working in places you cannot see.

The answer may not have appeared, but preparation may already be happening.

The door may not have opened, but God may already be arranging what is behind it.

The situation may not have changed, but God may already be changing you.

WAIT.

WATCH.

PRAY.

TRUST.

God is working.

CONCLUSION

Do not abandon faith because the answer is taking longer than expected.

Do not assume that silence means inactivity.

Do not conclude that God has forgotten you.

Your responsibility is not to control God's timing.

Your responsibility is to remain faithful.

WAIT. GOD IS WORKING.

PRAYER

Father, teach me how to wait well.

When I become impatient, remind me that Your timing is perfect. When I cannot see what You are doing, help me trust You.

Keep me from forcing doors You have not opened and making decisions out of frustration.

Help me use my waiting season wisely.

Strengthen my faith, deepen my patience, and give me confidence that You are working even when I cannot see it.
