WAITING WITH PURPOSE
Waiting becomes much harder when you believe it has no purpose.
If you think you are simply stuck, every day feels frustrating.
But what if your waiting has a purpose?
What if God is using this season to prepare something in you that you will need later?
What if the waiting is not punishment but preparation?
WAITING WITH PURPOSE CHANGES HOW YOU WAIT.
KEY SCRIPTURE
“It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” — Lamentations 3:26
Biblical waiting is connected with hope.
You are not waiting because nothing matters.
You are waiting because you trust God.
WAITING CAN DEVELOP YOU
Waiting can reveal what is in your heart.
It can expose impatience.
It can reveal fear.
It can challenge your dependence upon circumstances.
But it can also develop endurance.
You learn to pray longer.
You learn to trust deeper.
You learn to obey without immediate reward.
You learn that God is worthy of trust even when the outcome is uncertain.
THE TWIST
Here is the twist:
The purpose of the waiting may be larger than the thing you are waiting for.
You may think the purpose is simply receiving the answer.
But God may also be developing the person who receives it.
The blessing matters.
But so does the preparation required to carry it.
WHAT CAN I LEARN?
I can learn to ask better questions.
Instead of only asking, “When will this happen?”
I can ask:
“What is God developing in me while I wait?”
That question changes frustration into opportunity.
HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?
Use the waiting season intentionally.
Study.
Pray.
Prepare.
Serve.
Build relationships.
Develop discipline.
Correct weaknesses.
Strengthen your spiritual foundation.
When the opportunity comes, you will not be starting from zero.
You will already have been prepared.
FINAL REFLECTION
Waiting is not always a period of inactivity.
Sometimes it is a period of preparation.
WAITING WITH PURPOSE IS STILL MOVING FORWARD.
CONCLUSION
Don't waste the waiting by constantly wishing it away.
Ask God to show you what He wants to accomplish during it.
Your waiting may become one of the most productive seasons of your life.
PRAYER
Father, help me wait with purpose.
Show me what You are developing in me.
Give me wisdom to use this season well.
Help me prepare instead of complain.
Strengthen my faith while I wait for Your timing.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
