PRAY BIBLE PROMISES: JAMES (4)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Bible Prayers

a) There is no best prayer known other than to pray accordingly to His Word. This is one sure way of experiencing what His Word says in our lives as we identify and agree with what He has said in His Word.

b) There are more than 7,200 prayers in the Bible. Below are some examples that you may want to use by yourself, in a group, or be creative and pass along ways others may be able to use it.

2. Pray Bible Promises

a) James 1:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to be swift to hear.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to be slow to speak.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to be slow to get angry.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the wrath of man does not result in righteousness.

Lord God, cause me to be swift to hear.

Lord God, cause me to be slow to speak.

Lord God, cause me to be slow to anger.

b) James 1:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to rid ourselves of moral filth, and evil.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to humbly receive the word You have planted in us.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that setting aside our wickedness, and  humbly receiving the word You have planted in us, is able to save our souls.

Lord God, cause me to set aside my wickedness, and humbly receive the word You have planted in me.

Lord God, save my soul, according to Your promise.
