SEVEN SIGNS (1): A SPLENDID WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO A MAN CHILD (REVELATION 12:1-2)

1. Revelation  

a) John wrote Revelation while a prisoner on the Island of Patmos, approximately 85-95 A.D. Its purpose is to give encouragement and hope for all Christians to continue watching for the return and triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ. It also is to warn of the Final Judgment that nonbelievers will endure on that Last Day.

b) John wrote that Revelation is special because,“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near” (Revelation 1:3).

c) A brief view of the Book of Revelation. It gives you some basic understanding of the book of Revelation. 

2. The woman, Israel

Revelation 12:1-2
1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; 2 and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

3. A Splendid Woman Gives Birth To A Man Child

Revelation 12:1-2

a) John sees seven signs. The first is of a splendid woman who cries out in pain as she gives birth to a man child. We will compare this splendid woman with the atrocious woman of a future vision. The man child of course represents Jesus. 

4. A Time In 7,000 Years

a) The morning of September 23, 2017 is the only time in 7,000 years that the stars, sun, and moon will line up exactly like Apostle John said they would in Revelation 12.
