FACTS ABOUT GOD (1)

0. Introduction

a) The Bible says God (the Father and the Word who later became Jesus Christ) used what they looked like as a pattern for creating man: "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . ." (Genesis 1:26). Although composed of spirit, the Godhead used themselves as the master template from which humans came into existence.

1.  We look like God who has the following.

a) A body composed of spirit (Daniel 7:9-14; 10:5-19; 1Corinthians 15:44,49; Philippians 3:21)

b) Shape (John 5:37)

c) Form (Philippians 2:5-7; 3:21)

d) A Countenance (Psalm 11:7)

e) A head and a mind (Revelation 19:12, 1:14; Jeremiah 19:5, 32:35)

f) God has a face (Deuteronomy 34:10; Genesis 33:10; Exodus 33:11)

g) Hair (Daniel 7:9; Revelation 1:14), Eyes (Revelation 1:14; Psalm 11:4; 18:24; 33:18), Ears (Psalm 18:6; 34:15)

h) Hands (Psalm 102:25-26; Hebrews 1:10), Fingers (Exodus 31:18; Psalm 8:3-6), Arms (Psalm 44:3; John 12: 38)

i) Loins (Ezekiel 1:26-28; 8:1-4)

j) Feet (Psalm 18:9; Ezekiel 1:26; 1Corinthians 15:27; Hebrews 2:8; Revelation 1:15)

k) Back parts (Exodus 33:23)

l) A mouth (Numbers 12:8; Isaiah 1:20), Lips (Isaiah 11:4; 30:27), A tongue (Isaiah 30:27)

m) A voice (Psalm 29:1-9; Hebrews 12:19, 26; Revelation 1:10; Revelation 14:21)
