GOD'S FINAL WARNINGS BEFORE JESUS' RETURN (4)

0. Introduction
a) What warnings will God give man before the great tribulation occurs? What warnings to repent will he offer during the heavenly signs, plagues, and other painful events that happen before the second coming of Jesus? Who will give these admonishments to the entire world? Has man ALREADY been told he needs to change his ways and begin to obey the Creator of the universe?
b) God says there have been many witnesses already extant in the world. For instance, let us look in Colossians the first chapter and read about a witness the apostle Paul discusses.
i) "if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister." (Colossians 1:23)
c) Prophets came with another type of witness. A prophet would tell Israel, "Don't do this. Don't do this." The prophets and preachers of righteousness have their place but they are NOT the ultimate witness.
ii) "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them . . . " (Romans 1:18-20)
1. Three angels warn
a) While the first angel has come out proclaiming, "Fear God . . ." (Revelation 14:7) a second one comes and says,
i) "FALLEN, FALLEN IS BABYLON THE GREAT . . ." (Revelation 14:8)
b) Babylon the Great is what everyone is worshipping at this point in prophecy. She made all the nations drunk from her false teachings and deceptions. The second angel says in effect, "She's gone. Do not worry about Babylon. You can still fear God." The last of three angels then gives their message.
i) Those who worship the beast and its image and receive the mark on their forehead or on their hand 10 will themselves drink God’s wine, the wine of his fury, which he has poured at full strength into the cup of his anger! (Revelation 14:9-10)
c) God's warnings DO NOT end with the message of the three angels! Even at this late date in prophecy there are people who are so DECEIVED by the world's Babylonian system, so attached and addicted to it, that they still believe in it and REFUSE to repent! God, however, in his mercy and love, continues to offer humans chances to repent.
