1. Bible Topic
a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.
2. Law of God
a) What is the connection between the law and sin? It's in the Bible, I John 3:4, KJV. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
b) Is it necessary to keep all of the commandments? It's in the Bible, James 2:10-11, NIV. "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For He who said, 'Do not commit adultery,' also said, 'Do not murder.' If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker."
c) If we know Jesus, we will keep His commandments. It's in the Bible, I John 2:4-6, NIV. "The man who says, 'I know Him,' but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did."
d) What is the purpose of the law? It's in the Bible, Romans 3:20, NIV. "Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin."
e) Are we saved by keeping the law? It's in the Bible, Romans 3:27-31, NIV. "Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law."
