RESURRECTION (1)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Bible Topic

a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. Resurrection

a) Death doesn’t have to be the end! It’s in the Bible, John 5:25-26, NKJV. “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.”

b) Jesus has the power to give eternal life. It’s in the Bible, John 11:25, NKJV. “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’”

c) Was the resurrection real? It’s in the Bible, Matthew 28:5-6, NKJV. “But the angel answered and said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.’ ”

d) His resurrection was foretold by the prophets of the Bible. It’s in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, NKJV. “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

e) The resurrection of Jesus is a central truth of the Christian faith. It’s in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:14-17, CEV. “And if Christ wasn’t raised to life, our message is worthless, and so is your faith. If the dead won’t be raised to life, we have told lies about God by saying that he raised Christ to life, when he really did not. So if the dead won’t be raised to life, Christ wasn’t raised to life. Unless Christ was raised to life, your faith is useless, and you are still living in your sins.”

The End ...
