SALVATION (4)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Bible Topic

a) To learn what the Bible has to say on a variety of topics affecting our everyday lives, we may find what we are looking for here.

2. How do I receive this gift of salvation?

a) Receive Jesus' death for your sins. It's in the Bible, Romans 10:9-10, NKJV. "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

b) Repent and confess your sins. A powerful, personal response to the gospel is "repenting" or feeling sorry for our sins, confessing them, and turning away from them. It's in the Bible, Acts 2:37-38, NKJV. "Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

c) It's in the Bible,  NKJV. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

d) Receive Jesus' life. Surrender your life to God, and let Christ live in you. It's in the Bible, Galatians 2:20, NKJV. "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me"

e) It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

f) Rejoice, for you are now a child of God! It's in the Bible, John 1:12, NKJV. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."

The End ...
