ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND (144,000) IN THE BIBLE

1. Number ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND in the Bible
a) And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed. (Revelation 7:4)
b) This is one of the most misunderstood scriptures in the Book of Revelation.
c) There have been many perplexing theories about the 144,000. If people would merely read the above scripture, they could save themselves much confusion. Revelation 7:4 clearly states the 144,000 are from the twelve tribes of Israel.
d) Revelation 7:5-8 then states there were twelve thousand from each tribe and each tribe is named individually to prevent any confusion about who the 144,000 are. One hundred and forty-four thousand symbolizes completeness. This number represents totality, perfection and the organization of God's people.
e) Will YOU be included? Will God protect YOU in the end times even though YOU are not from the twelve tribes of Israel? Absolutely! If YOU have confessed Jesus Christ as YOUR Savior and Lord, then YOU are God's people with all privileges and spiritual blessings and sealed with the Holy Spirit.
f) For this reason, all believers will be counted and will not be forgotten in the last days.
g) To be included in this number is to "confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead." (Romans 10:9-10)
