NUMBER EIGHT (8-1)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
0. Introduction
a) In the Bible the number 8, which comes after the number (7) which signifies completeness, symbolizes a new beginning, or a new order of things, a new creation, a new birth, and the resurrection to eternal life. It is interesting to note what other mention(s) for 8 can be found in the Bible.
1. Resurrected from the DEAD
a) The resurrection of the dead is the great truth which is signified by the number 8. The Bible contains the record of eight individuals (with a likely ninth one) who have been brought back to life. This list does not include the resurrection of Jesus or the resurrection back to a physical life of many people that happened just after Jesus died.
i) 50. And after crying out again with a loud voice, Jesus yielded up His spirit. 51. And suddenly the veil of the temple was ripped in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook, and the rocks were split, 52. And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had died arose. 53. And after His resurrection, they came out of the tombs and entered into the holy city, and appeared to many. (Matthew 27:50-53, Holy Bible in Its Original Order - A Faithful Version (HBFV))
