FREE FROM FEAR (3)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. Free from fear
a) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NIV)
2. Other Scriptures
(Psalms 112:4-9 NIV)
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. {5} Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice. {6} Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. {7} He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. {8} His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. {9} He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.
(Proverbs 3:12-26 NIV)
because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. {13} Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, {14} for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. {15} She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. {16} Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. {17} Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. {18} She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. {19} By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; {20} by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. {21} My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; {22} they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. {23} Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; {24} when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. {25} Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, {26} for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.
(Isaiah 12:2-3 NIV)
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.” {3} With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is
steadfast, because he trusts in you. {4} Trust in the LORD forever, for
the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
