TRUE JOY & HAPPINESS (13)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. True joy and happiness

a) In God’s presence there is ultimate joy and happiness. You can experience God’s presence now through the Holy Spirit, and you will feel the greatest Love, Joy and Peace that you can ever know. The Joy of the Lord is your strength.

NOTE: The word blessed in the Bible includes being happy and joyful.

2. Other Scriptures

(Luke 2:10-14 NKJV)
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. {11} “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. {12} “And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” {13} And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: {14} “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

(Luke 10:17-20 NKJV)

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” {18} And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. {19} “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. {20} “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

(Luke 15:4-7 NKJV)

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? {5} “And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. {6} “And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ {7} “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

(Luke 15:10 NKJV)

“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
