PRAY BIBLE PROMISES: PHILEMON (4)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Bible Prayers

a) There is no best prayer known other than to pray accordingly to His Word. This is one sure way of experiencing what His Word says in our lives as we identify and agree with what He has said in His Word.

b) There are more than 7,200 prayers in the Bible. Below are some examples that you may want to use by yourself, in a group, or be creative and pass along ways others may be able to use it.

2. Pray Bible Promises

a) Philemon 1:8-9 King James Version (KJV)

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Lord, thank You for Paul's humility, that even when he could have commanded something to be done in Your name, he chose to ask Philemon to do it, as a favor to himself.

b) Philemon 1:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul counted Philemon's slave, Onesimus, as a son, who Paul brought to faith in Christ, while Paul was a prisoner of Christ.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul made a request of Philemon, in regards to Onesimus.

c) Philemon 1:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Onesimus, (whose name means useful) was not much use to Philemon in the past, but now that he was a believer in Christ, he was useful for both Paul and Philemon.

Lord, teach me to be kind to all believers, no matter their situation, so they may be able to seek after You, and do Your will.

The End ...
