THE STORY ISN’T OVER

Never allow one chapter to convince you that the entire story has ended.

KEY SCRIPTURE

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6

There are moments when circumstances make you feel finished.

A failed plan.

A closed opportunity.

A painful loss.

A ministry disappointment.

A personal failure.

But God specializes in continuing stories that people think have ended.

JOSEPH'S STORY WASN'T OVER IN THE PIT

The pit was real.

But it was not the conclusion.

DAVID'S STORY WASN'T OVER WHEN HE WAS RUNNING

David spent years experiencing danger and uncertainty.

But God was preparing him for kingship.

PETER'S STORY WASN'T OVER AFTER HIS DENIAL

Peter failed dramatically.

But Jesus restored him.

Failure was a chapter.

It was not his identity.

YOUR PRESENT CHAPTER IS NOT THE WHOLE BOOK

You may be in a difficult chapter today.

Don't confuse the chapter with the conclusion.

God may still have lessons to teach, doors to open, people to bring into your life, opportunities to create, and purposes to fulfill.

THE TWIST

Sometimes what feels like the end is actually the transition between what was and what God is about to do.

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

I can learn not to make permanent conclusions from temporary circumstances.

I can learn to leave room for God to surprise me.

HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?

Don't quit because of one bad chapter.

Don't abandon your calling because of one disappointment.

Don't define yourself by one failure.

Get up.

Pray again.

Believe again.

Serve again.

Move forward again.

FINAL REFLECTION

What if God is not finished with the chapter you are currently tempted to close?

CONCLUSION

The story isn't over.

If God has begun a work, trust Him to continue it.

PRAYER

Lord, when I feel that my story has ended, remind me that You are still writing. Give me courage to continue when circumstances discourage me. Help me not to define my future by my past or my present difficulties. Complete what You have begun in me according to Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.
