0. Introduction
a) Since many of the proverbs came from King Solomon, it is natural to expect some of his interest to be directed toward leadership.
1. What happens without good leadership
a) Honoring the wrong people backfires (Proverbs 26:8)
i) 8 Like one who binds a stone in a sling, Is he who gives honor to a fool. (Proverbs 26:8 NKJV)
b) A wicked ruler is dangerous (Proverbs 28:15)
i) 15 Like a roaring lion and a charging bear, Is a wicked ruler over poor people. (Proverbs 28:15 NKJV)
c) People despair (Proverbs 29:2)
i) 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. (Proverbs 29:2 NKJV)
d) A wicked ruler has wicked servants (Proverbs 29:12)
i) 12 If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked. (Proverbs 29:12 NKJV)
