1. A father's instructions (read Proverbs 3; 4)
a) The person who has wisdom

ii) Is faithful
iii) Trusts in God
iv) Puts God first
v) Turns away from evil
vi) Knows right from wrong
vii) Listens and learns
viii) Does what is right
b) Benefits of wisdom
i) Long, prosperous life
ii) Favor with God and people
iii) Reputation for good judgment
