2. Bible Promises throughout the Bible on God's help
a) God hears your cries and is your helper. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 72:12, NKJV. “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.”
b) God is our defense. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 94:16-19, NKJV. “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the LORD had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.”
c) Sometimes we have to look higher for help than what any person can help us with. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 108:12-13, NKJV. “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies”
d) We can find hope in God’s Word. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 119:147, NKJV. “I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word.”
e) God can help us when we show our faith in following His commands. It’s in the Bible, Psalms 119:173, NKJV. “Let Your hand become my help, for I have chosen Your precepts.”
