DO EVERYTHING FOR GOD'S GLORY

DO EVERYTHING FOR GOD'S GLORY

Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

1-Minute Explanation

Paul expands the concept of worship beyond formal religious activities. Even ordinary actions can glorify God when they are done with the right heart and purpose. Christianity is not confined to prayer meetings, worship services or ministry events. How we work, speak, serve, lead, treat people and handle responsibilities can all become expressions of worship. The goal is not merely to do religious things but to live every part of life for God's glory.

THE TWIST

The question is not simply, “Is this a spiritual activity?” The deeper question is, “Can God be glorified through the way I do this?” Ordinary work can honour God. Ordinary conversations can honour God. Ordinary responsibilities can honour God when they are approached with integrity, excellence and the right motives.

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

I learn that there is no artificial separation between my spiritual life and my ordinary life. If Christ is Lord, He should influence every area of my existence. The way I conduct myself when nobody calls it “ministry” can still be ministry before God.

HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?

Am I honouring God only during explicitly Christian activities? Does my behaviour at home reflect the same Christ I proclaim publicly? Do I demonstrate integrity when nobody is watching? I should consciously ask how God can be glorified through today's ordinary responsibilities.

FINAL REFLECTIONS

My life is larger than my public ministry. God is interested in my private character, daily decisions and ordinary responsibilities. Every part of life can become an opportunity to reflect His character.

PRAYER

Lord, let everything I do bring glory to You. Help me honour You in both significant and ordinary moments. Give me integrity when nobody is watching, humility when I am recognized and faithfulness when my work appears insignificant. May my entire life become an offering of worship to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TAKEAWAY

If Christ is Lord of my life, then every part of my life should bring Him glory.
