GOD CAN DO MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE

GOD CAN DO MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE

Bible Verse: Ephesians 3:20

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

1-Minute Explanation

We often limit God according to our experience, resources and imagination. Paul reminds us that God's ability exceeds what we can ask or even imagine. This does not mean that God will fulfil every personal desire exactly as we envision it. It means that His power and purposes are far greater than our human calculations. Sometimes the greatest limitation is not God's ability but our willingness to believe that He can work beyond what we can see.

THE TWIST

The question is not simply, “What do I think God can do?” The deeper question is, “Have I unconsciously placed a ceiling on what God can accomplish through my life?”

WHAT CAN I LEARN?

I learn that faith should not be restricted by my past experiences. What has never happened before does not mean it can never happen. God is not limited by the size of my resources or the boundaries of my imagination.

HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?

Where have I already decided that something cannot happen? What dream, calling, opportunity or area of ministry have I limited because I am focusing only on what I can personally accomplish? I should surrender my limitations to God and ask Him to show me what faithful obedience looks like.

FINAL REFLECTIONS

My responsibility is not to manufacture God's results. My responsibility is to remain available, obedient and faithful. God can accomplish through surrendered lives what could never be accomplished through human strength alone.

PRAYER

Lord, enlarge my faith. Help me not to limit Your power according to my understanding. Show me where I have placed unnecessary boundaries on what You can do. Give me courage to believe, wisdom to act and humility to give You all the glory for whatever You accomplish through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TAKEAWAY

Never measure God's ability by the limits of your imagination.
