DO NOT GROW WEARY IN DOING GOOD
Bible Verse: Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
1-Minute Explanation
There are times when doing the right thing becomes exhausting. We may serve faithfully without receiving appreciation, invest in people without seeing immediate change, pray without seeing immediate answers or give without receiving anything in return. Paul reminds us that faithfulness must continue even when the harvest is delayed. God sees what people may overlook.
THE TWIST
The question is not simply, “Why is nothing happening?” The deeper question is, “Will I remain faithful when nothing appears to be happening?” Delayed results can become one of the greatest tests of genuine commitment.
WHAT CAN I LEARN?
I learn that God's timetable is not the same as mine. A seed does not become a harvest immediately. Some things require time, patience and perseverance. My responsibility is to remain faithful while trusting God with the timing of the harvest.
HOW DOES IT APPLY TO ME?
Where am I becoming tired? What good work am I tempted to abandon simply because results are slow? I need to ask whether God is truly telling me to stop or whether I am simply discouraged by delayed results.
FINAL REFLECTIONS
Some of the most important things we do may never receive public recognition. A prayer, an encouraging word, a sacrifice, a faithful service or a quiet act of kindness may produce fruit that we will never personally see.
PRAYER
Lord, renew my strength when I become weary. Help me continue doing what is right even when the results are delayed. Keep me from allowing disappointment to destroy my faithfulness. Teach me to trust Your timing and remember that You see every act of obedience. In Jesus' name, Amen.
TAKEAWAY
Faithfulness continues even when the harvest is not yet visible.
