WALKING IN THE FULLNESS OF HIS SPIRIT (1)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. Walking in the fullness of His Spirit
a) “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3 NKJV). The person who is a spiritual beggar seeking to be continually filled with more of God’s Holy Spirit.
(Luke 11:13 NKJV)
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
(Isaiah 44:3 NKJV)
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;
b) Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4 NKJV). They that share the suffering of others and thereby also share in the comforting of the Holy Spirit with them.
(Ecclesiastes 7:4 NIV)
The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure.
(Isaiah 61:1-3 NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; {2} To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, {3} To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
c) Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5 NKJV). They that through humility open the door of their hearts to God and man.
(Isaiah 57:15 NKJV)
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
