LIVING IN GOD'S HEART (7)
(Message by Tanny Keng)
1. Living in God's heart
a) What we think about is what is in our heart, and is what we become.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)
b) The word transformed is the Greek word metamorphoo it is where we get the word metamorphosis from, the word used to describe the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly.
c) Another place that this word is used is in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
d) As we focus our mind and imagination toward God His Spirit is transforming us. Because when we set our heart toward God He sets His heart toward us.
e) Jesus prayed that we would be united with the other members of His body, in Him and in the Father.
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” (John 17:20-23)
