LOVE (3)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Love

a) Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:8-13 NKJV)

2. Other Scriptures

Ephesians 1:2-4 NKJV
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  (3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Christ,  (4)  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

John 15:9-14 NKJV
“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.  (10)  If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  (11)  “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.  (12)  This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  (13)  Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.  (14)  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

 John 15:16-17 NKJV
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.  (17)  These things I command you, that you love one another.

1 Corinthians 13:3-8 NKJV
(3)And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.  (4)  Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  (5)  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  (6)  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;  (7)  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  (8)  Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

The End ...
