MATCHLESS MIRACLES
1. Do we know that when God wants to use us to fulfill his assignments, he will perform miracles for us that cannot be equaled?
#1) About Moses?
a) His mission crossing the Read Sea is really impossible! Only God can do it.
i) 7Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone. (Deuteronomy 34:7 NIV)
ii) 10Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11who did all those signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. 12For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel. (Deuteronomy 34:10-12 NIV)
iii) He did great and terrifying wonders before Pharaoh and his entire court in Egypt, and before the people of Israel in the wilderness.
iv) What makes Moses so special? God speaks to him face to face. That's special.
@1. 1Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2“Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this. (Numbers 12:1, 2 NIV)
@2. 8he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams. 7But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. 8With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” (Numbers 12:6-8 NIV)
@3. 9The anger of the Lord burned against them, and he left them. 10When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous —it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease, 11and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.” (Numbers 12:9-12 NIV)
@4. 13So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!” (Numbers 12:13 NIV)
@5. 14The Lord replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.” (Numbers 12:14 NIV)
@6. 15So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back. (Numbers 12:15 NIV)
#2) About King Solomon?
a) God will grant what he has asked and also what he has not asked. The wisdom that he has in his lifetime will have no equal among kings!
i) 5At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” (1 Kings 3:5 NIV)
ii) 9So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 10The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.” (1 Kings 3:9-14 NIV)
2. Prayer Focus
