KEYS TO ANSWERED PRAYERS (5)

(Message by Tanny Keng)

1. Keys to Answered Prayers

a) Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. {15} And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15)

2. Other Scriptures

(Jeremiah 33:2-3)
“Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name): {3} ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

(Lamentations 3:21-26)
This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. {22} Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassion fail not. {23} They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. {24} “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” {25} The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. {26} It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.

(Matthew 6:6-15)
“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. {7} “And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. {8} “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. {9} “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. {10} Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. {11} Give us this day our daily bread. {12} And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. {13} And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. {14} “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. {15} “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

(Matthew 7:7-11)
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. {8} “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. {9} “Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? {10} “Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? {11} “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
